SPE Nigeria Council Internship Linkage Program

Dear SPE Student Members,

Warm greetings from the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) Nigeria Council.

As part of our ongoing commitment to bridge the gap between academic training and practical industry experience, the SPE Nigeria Council with the support of its Board of Trustees is pleased to introduce the Internship Linkage Program - an initiative aimed at facilitating internship opportunities for SPE student members within SPE member companies.

This initiative is strategically designed to expose students to real-world industry practices, helping them apply their academic knowledge in professional settings while fostering early leadership skills and practical professional development. Through this program, we aim to match bright, passionate SPE student members with member organizations who are equally committed to excellence and innovation in the energy sector.

In light of this, we will be accepting applications from suitably qualified SPE student members for internship opportunities our esteemed SPE Nigeria member organizations - renowned for their  commitment to industry advancement and capacity-building. 

We also wish to emphasize that only carefully selected candidates will be recommended. All interested students will undergo a structured assessment and screening process to evaluate their academic standing, professional readiness, and interpersonal skills. This ensures that only qualified, competent, and motivated candidates are presented

Key requirements:

• passionate but also prepared to add value during your internship period
• an SPE student member in good standing
• good academic records
• Completed application form
• pass the assessment test
