To equip petroleum engineers with fundamentals of reservoir engineering

• Understand fundamentals of reservoir engineering, including fluid flow in porous media, phase behaviour, fluid properties, material balance and reservoir drive mechanisms.
• Describe asset life cycles, professional roles, hydrocarbon reservoir descriptions
• Characterize and describe reservoir and its fluid in sufficient details to provide basis for a reservoir study
• Use reservoir engineering principles to predict for performance of different types of reservoirs including gas reservoirs
• Explain how classical reservoir engineering techniques and simulation modelling are used to develop reservoirs
